1960's Retro Makeup

This look is replicating the 1960's iconic retro makeup look. I used the techniques of theatre makeup with the heavy contour and highlight which looks a lot more diffused in the pictures above. The main focus of the look is the big eyes with a cut crease and big lashes.

The big red wig that has been specially styled and 60's style dress really make this look credible as a 60's look and emphasises that it's suitable for a theatre production.

This makeup done as part of Theatre Assessment for my Media Makeup course in University.

Special Effects: Scar and Cuts

This look was created using a scar/cut prosthetic which was made using liquid latex. At first the look was going to be an old healed scar on the chin area, however since it didn't look realistic overall, I transformed it into a cut with an incision in the middle of the prosthetic and blood splattered all over.

The casualty simulation of this look is that the woman hit her chin on the edge of the swimming pool, splashing blood all over her face and filling the pool with her blood. the image above shows her right after the accident with her towels draped on her with her looking at her bloody hands.

This was a look I created for my Special Effects course for University.

Edwardian Higher and Lower Class Makeup

One of the most difficult makeup to achieve in my opinion is the no makeup look. This was the case for creating this Edwardian lower and higher class women. They had to look extremely natural but with their faces still concealed and the skin still perfected without looking like makeup.

These looks were created for my Era Assessments for my Media Makeup course at University.

Egyptian Goddess Makeup Look

This look was created with the Egyptian era as the main influence. It's a high fashion Egyptian look that incorporates the Egyptian style almond eyes and the eye of Horus. I used colours such as yellow golds, blue, pink, and purple to illustrate a high fashion feel and effect. I created a metallic black golden lip to complement the fierce eye-catching eye makeup.
