As part of my university course, we had to create a creative hair shoot. We had to create our own creative hair piece, do the makeup, and incorporate body painting within the look.
I chose to create an anime inspired shoot with blue and green confection like hair, big anime eyes, with laced up gloves and necklace for the body painting.
The model that I used was Chynna Retumban, and the photographer was Martin Beaumont. This was a very challenging photoshoot as the look had so much elements to it and the process of creating the whole look took a lot of time and effor. However I was very happy with the outcome of the shoot and I am thoroughly happy with the photographs.

Black Geisha Photoshoot
As part of my University course, I organised my own photoshoot with my own ideas. One of my photoshoot ideas was to create a geisha inspired photoshoot but using two black models instead of using Asian models. I feel that it is defying what is customary to what a geisha's look is and what is should be, thus my reasoning for using black models instead.
The photographer that I used is Abyadh Othman who has her own blog: http://abyoth.blogspot.co.uk/ And the models that I used were Yann Kimpouni and Seddie Makwinja. I felt that it was very integral for me to explore on creating looks on varying skin tones as it would show that my makeup skills range to all different skin colours.

Beauty Photoshoot
Here are some images on a beauty shoot that I have recently worked on with photographer, Chloe Dunn and J'adore models, Jazmine Darson and Rae Dos Remedios.
There were a few makeup styles that were done for the shoot such as a nude makeup with red lips, a smokey eye with nude lips, amongst others. I feel that the images were really strong and it was really great working on two different models for the shoot as I had to work on my time management skills with getting both the models makeup done on time, and changed over for the second makeup look.

Denim Photoshoot
One of my recent photoshoots was a denim photoshoot with photographer, 'Jack Bowker' and J'adore Management model, 'Lauren Millen'
My brief was to create a bronze makeup look that was very dewy and highlighted. The makeup was to enhance the model's blue eyes so copper and warm tones were used to do this. I used a very light coverage of MAC Face and Body on to the skin as the model's skin was very even almost flawless looking. MAC Creme d' Nude lipstick and Illamasqua Lipgloss in Exquisite was applied to the lips creating a glossy nude lip, appropriate to the shoot.
To conclude, this shoot will be highly beneficial for my portfolio as it exemplifies a clean beauty makeup look with nude skin, nude lips, and naturally enhanced eyes. The environment of the shoot was highly professional helping me gain knowledge and experience on how to act professionally on makeup jobs as well.

I also did some minor body makeup by highlighting and contouring the model's chest and stomach area to make them look more defined and toned. I used a range of contouring and highlighting products from MAC and Makeup Revolution.

Black & White Male Photoshoot
I recently got to do the makeup for a photoshoot in the University of Huddersfield with photographer, Chloe Dunn, and model, Joshua Leach.
I was contacted by Jessica Auty, one of my makeup artist classmates to do this photoshoot as she was not able to attend.
I was challenged in this shoot as I had to create a makeup suitable for males, and also black and white. Not only that but I also had to do body makeup by contouring and highlighting the model's muscles so that they were more apparent on camera.
It was a thoroughly useful work experience for me as I further honed my skills in black and white photography, my male makeup skills, and also body contouring and highlighting. The final photographs cam out very high quality and professional, and are exceedingly suitable for my makeup artist portfolio.

Take A Break Magazine Article!
Many months ago I was contacted by a journalist to be featured on 'The Sun Newspaper' for my makeup and beauty work on my YouTube Channel. However, it did not come into fruition. However, this past Christmas 2014 I was contacted again by the same journalist to be featured on 'Take A Break Magazine' for the same type of article.
This article has now been published and was available nationwide in WH Smith, Tesco, ASDA, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Waterstones, and many other nationwide bookstores and news stands.
The article was titled 'Man I Feel Like A Woman' featuring my male to 'female' transformations into female celebrities and models such as Cara Delevingne, Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, and many more. It was a 2 page spread on the centre of the magazine with description of my makeup work, personal life, and information about my YouTube channel.
Overall it was a highly positive article gaining much praise from the general public and was great exposure for my makeup artistry work and also my YouTube channel.

Black & White 1920's Photoshoot
For one of my assessments at University, I had to create a makeup look inspired by an era of my choice which is suitable for black and white photography. I decided on the era 1920's as it is an era that exemplifies a highly distinct and recognisable makeup style.
For the assessment we worked with a professional photographer who also edited the digital images for us. It was truly a great experience as I gained a better knowledge on working with a photographer.
In terms of the makeup I found that a lot of contour and highlighting had to be done so that the depth and shadows would appear in black and white photography. My model's eyebrows had a very distinct arch to it which is something that was less common during the 20's. The eyebrows back in those times were more rounded so I tried multiple times to get the eyebrows accurate for the look.
Here is the final image of the black & white 1920's makeup look. Overall I found the photoshoot and makeup application thoroughly enjoyable and worthwhile. I feel that the final images will really help with my portfolio building.
